This afternoon, start your Cambodia tour with a visit to the resplendent Angkor Wat. Your guide will explain the history and religious significance of this awe-inspiring monument as you wander through the halls and passageways.End the day with a delicious Khmer welcome dinner at a local restaurant. After breakfast, a day of temple touring, starting this morning at Angkor Thom. After entering via the South Gate, you will explore the enigmatic faces of Bayon, the imposing Terrace of the Elephants and the ornate Terrace of the Leper Kings. Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, visit to Banteay Srei, stop at the Landmine Museum which promotes mine awareness and education as well as supports area landmine victims. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
In the morning, visit t the temples of the Grand Circuit, beginning with the Preah Khan Temple and continuing to Neak Pean and Ta Som. Lunch at a local restaurant.
After your meal, tour the school and meet the students. This afternoon a tuk tuk ride will take you through the Small Circuit temples, highlighted by a visit to the jungle-covered Ta Phrom temple. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Tonle Sap where you will have the opportunity to learn about life on the water. Tonle Sap is Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake, the size of which quadruples during the wet season.
In the afternoon visit the Artisans D’Angkor workshop to see wood and stone carvings or visit the local markets before transferring to the airport for the departure flight.
